Thanks for commenting. As the author, I obviously disagree that this is a pointless rant. The accusations are pretty clear: check out the subtitle if you're unsure of what I'm getting at.

As for inequality, I do mention it quite a bit. There's a whole paragraph about it, in fact. Sorry I couldn't squeeze a "discussion of the Gini Coefficient" in there for you. It's only a 6-minute read, and I had a lot of ground to cover.

As for strategies to reduce inequality (the "solutions" you're longing for), that would be where, instead of copying Andrew Yang's campaign platform into the essay, I just pointed people there to see for themselves.

From The Freedom Dividend (Universal Basic Income) to Democracy Dollars, The American Scorecard, and literally dozens of other visionary ideas aimed at instituting a "human-centered capitalism," Yang's platform is an outright repudiation of our current, corrupt system of wealth distribution. Every policy proposal he puts forth is a concrete move toward a fairer society.

Yes, we have big problems, but we also have workable, bi-partisan solutions out there. I'm hoping we're smart enough to take up the challenge of fighting to get them implemented (instead of using all our bandwidth fighting each other).
