I'm sorry to hear that. I think it's a shame that as a society we've not only let everything become political/partisan (even the American flag for some), we've let it come between us as friends and neighbors. We need to be able to disagree and still get along, or the country is pretty much doomed.

Thanks for sharing your perspective from a "redder" part of the country. The political intimidation exists here in Massachusetts too, but definitely runs in the opposite direction. We need to find a way out of this before it tears the country further apart.
